J. F. Gonzalez is the author of several acclaimed novels of terror and suspense including Clickers (with Mark Williams), Clickers II: The Next Wave (with Brian Keene), Survivor, Bully, Fetish, and many others, as well as over sixty short stories and numerous articles.
Born in Los Angeles, CA, Gonzalez was raised in the nearby suburb of Gardena. Following graduation from high school in 1982 he attended college, and then dropped in and out for the next several years before quitting for good in 1986. He did time in the type of jobs most writers hold, and his past careers are described as varied and colorful: he's been a file clerk, a warehouse worker, a truck driver, a word processor, computer graphic artist, magazine editor, freelance writer, advertising copywriter, secretary/administrative assistant, database administrator, web master, IT Help Desk technician, and general all-around computer-nerd. When he meets other grown-ups for the first time and they ask the inevitable question "what do you do?" he tells them he's a writer. That usually impresses them. Thankfully, he has a nice body of work to back that claim up.
